PROJECT QUOTES
 

We are looking for a full-time Project Quotes position to join our Quotations team.  This role is responsible for the timely and accurate quoting of project lighting requests.  This person will effectively apply quoting strategies, negotiate on behalf of The Lighting Group, submit timely and accurate quotes, build solid collaborative customer working relationships and keep current on the understanding of products and analysis of the lighting market. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Determine an effective strategy to use on each project quoted.
  • Provide timely and accurate project lighting requests.
  • Follow up on quotes to negotiate and secure the order at maximum profitability.
  • Ongoing product training to stay up-to-date with market trends and ensure informed quoting, including selecting the appropriate products based on the scope and scale of each job.
  • Develop and nurture teamwork with peers to create a positive, collaborative, energized work environment.
 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • High school education, some college preferred.
  • Experience in direct customer contact with lighting manufacturers and the distributor market.
  • At least 2 years of lighting industry experience and/or equivalent quotations experience.
  • Practical appreciation of the complex nature of lighting manufacturers, lighting agency and electrical distributor relationships.
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills.
  • Applied experience with computer software such as Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel.
  • Proven ability to use logical, analytical thinking in problem solving.

PROJECT MANAGER
 

We are looking for a talented and experienced full-time Project Manager responsible for organizing and managing lighting projects from quotation department hand-off to completion.  The ideal candidate must have strong time management, problem solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills, and utilize these skills in a demanding, multi-tasking environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively manage multiple lighting projects, including prioritizing tasks and coordination issues.
  • Confirm bills of material by reviewing quotes with fixture schedules and specifications, create accurate submittals and ensure all clarifications are completed for assigned lighting projects.
  • Enter purchase orders with factories and proactively provide shipping updates to customers.
  • Ensure delivery of excellent customer service and handle all issues encountered throughout the completion of the project.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with factories and the distributor community.
  • Develop and nurture teamwork with peers to create a positive, energized work environment.
 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • At least 2 years lighting experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding and use of lighting manufacturer’s product literature to respond to customer inquiries.
  • Practical appreciation of the complex nature of lighting manufacturers, lighting agency and electrical distributor relationships.
  • Proficient with computer software programs- Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel, Adobe and or Bluebeam, lighting industry quote/order entry programs.
  • Proven ability to use logical, analytical thinking in problem solving.
  • Established credibility in the lighting industry based on organizational skills, attention to detail, follow-through and customer interactions.
  • Finely developed written and verbal communication skills.

RECEPTIONIST/ADMIN ASSISTANT
 

We are looking for a full-time Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our Operations team.  This role is responsible for answering and routing calls that come into the front desk, welcoming and helping visitors coming into The Lighting Group as well as handling numerous assigned operational administrative tasks. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer all incoming calls that come into the front desk and successfully route to the appropriate person.
  • Welcome, warmly greet and announce visitors into The Lighting Group office.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages and deliver outgoing mail to the post office.
  • Make travel arrangements for all staff such as airfare, hotels and rental car reservations.
  • Order and maintain the office supply inventory on a weekly basis or as needed.
  • Request invoices from factories and apply in order management system (Agile).
  • Run regular and ad hoc reports and distribute to appropriate parties.
  • Effectively handle and complete all assigned office administrative tasks and processes.
  • Develop and nurture teamwork with peers to create a positive, collaborative, energized work environment.
 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • At least 2 years of office administrative experience or equivalent training. Receptionist experience preferred.
  • Hands on experience with business office workflows, systems and organization structure.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills as demonstrated in handling of customer calls including difficult customer situations in previous positions.
  • Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
